Our brand new Switch technology allows the lenses to darken substantially in response to UV light. The lenses contain light sensitive molecules that change shape and colour when ultraviolet rays strikes them. The lenses will begin to lighten as soon as they are away from UV light, gradually returning to their original state. The lenses will start at a filter Category 2 light amber that will then “switch” to a filter Category 3 dark brown dependant on exposure to sunlight. Through a course of a session, whether that be at low light at dawn, stalking in the midday sun or sitting watching them fizz at dusk, your Fortis Wraps with Switch technology will be the perfect shades for all conditions. Colours from pictures may vary. THE FRAME: The Fortis Wraps fit perfectly around the face, totally eliminating unwanted light. Not only is their shape designed to block any penetrating light, but they also have side lenses too for total 180 degree peripheral vision. Soft rubber inserts on the frame arms ensure these frames don’t slip off your head, whilst maximising comfort. A unique vent system at the top of the frame, increases airflow preventing mist/fog build up when pushing a barrow or climbing a tree to spot fish. These are perfect for low light right through to bright light conditions as the lens will darken when it is bright or lighten when it is dark. Brown – a lens that has substantial contrast definition. These are perfect for picking out objects in water and why the majority of our lenses utilise this colour. They are great for low to bright light conditions.
